Author and Arctic Explorer Chad Kister will guide individuals or groups through the wondrous southeast Ohio hills and valleys.  He will also take groups kayaking, canoeing or fishing on the many lakes and rivers in the region.  Having hiked the area all of his life, Kister knows the trails and history of the southeast Ohio.  Learn the edible plants and mushrooms, and how native peoples lived in the area.

Fishing Expeditions

Learn the best fishing spots from one who has survived off the fish he caught in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.  Kister has been fishing Southeast Ohio all of his life.  Whether it is smallmouth or largemouth bass, catfish, or panfish, Kister will keep a fish on the line.

You can learn about local environmental issues, as well as the latest findings on climate change while you fish.

Ecotours runs year-round, with winter gear available for rent.

Backpacking trips

Overnight backpacking trips start at $100 per night.  Kister can also guide groups in West Virginia.

Price: $10 plus $15 an hour.
